The rates are designed to fund all of the Water and Wastewater utilties costs related to operations (treatment, storage, and distribution/collection systems) and capital projects related to water quality, town growth, and regulatory requirements.
The rate structure consists of charges based on service and volume. The water service charge is based on actual volume used, as recorded on the water meter. Sewer charges are a flat rate for residential and commercial sewer rates are calculated according to water meter readings. The Infrastructure Fees are for capital replacement of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems and roadway damage associated with the utility.
