Make a Difference in Our Community – Join the Leader Housing Authority Board
The Leader Housing Authority is looking for community minded individuals to joining its Board of Directors.
The Leader Housing Authority is part of Saskatchewan’s network of local housing authorities and administers affordable housing in our community on behalf of the Sask. Housing Corporation. Its housing portfolio includes three houses, three duplexes and 12 unites at the Chinook Courts, providing safe and affordable housing for individuals and families who need it.
The Board plays an important role in ensuring these homes continue to meet the needs of our community. Board members meet once a month to discuss housing needs, review operations, plan for maintenance and improvements, and provide oversight to the Housing Manager and Maintenance Worker.
But being a Board member is about more than buildings and maintenance, It is about people. Affordable housing is an important part of a healthy and sustainable community, supporting people of all ages, backgrounds and family circumstances.
You don’t need to be a housing expert to make a difference. If you have an interest in our community, are willing to share your ideas and experience, and want to give back to Leader, we encourage you to consider joining the Leader Housing Authority Board.
Your time and perspective can help ensure that affordable housing remains a strong and valued part of our community for years to come.
Interested in getting involved? Nomination forms are available here or at the Town Office.
