Dave Cunningham – Candidate for Councillor

Dave Cunningham
Contractor
I’m Dave Cunningham, and I’m honoured to have the opportunity to run for town council.
I’ve been actively involved in our community for many years. I’m a member of the Lions Club, coach the Senior Leader Flyers, and serve on the Wild West Community group. Being part of these organizations has given me a strong connection to the people and values that make our town what it is.
With 14 years of experience as a town foreman, I bring practical, hands-on knowledge of how a community operates. I’ve been involved in countless decisions—both as a leader and as an employee—which has given me a well-rounded understanding of the challenges and responsibilities that come with maintaining and improving our town.
I understand the realities of aging infrastructure and the pressures that come with it. These challenges don’t discourage me—they motivate me. I want to be part of the solution.
I believe in setting realistic, achievable goals rather than relying on quick fixes. It’s important to plan not just for today, but for the long-term future of our community.
My background in paving, infrastructure, and water and sewer systems gives me valuable insight that I’m eager to bring to council. I’m ready to put my experience to work and contribute in a meaningful way.
I look forward to the opportunity to serve and to bring my knowledge and dedication to the council table.

Cari Wilkinson – Candidate for Councillor

Cari Wilkinson
Financial Services Officer
Hi, I’m Cari Wilkinson. Leader has been my home for most of my life, and it’s where I raised my two children. I returned here years ago because I wanted my kids to have the same wonderful childhood I did – growing up in a safe, friendly small town filled with community spirit. Now, especially, being a grandma, I want to have the same environment for my grandchildren.
I’ve worked in the banking industry for over 20 years and take pride in my role. I have always held a proud feeling being part of this community and I want to help make it a great place for families to call home.
If elected as Counsellor I hope to find ways to attract new businesses or make it welcoming for new families to come to our town. We have a beautiful town that has so much to offer and opportunity for growth.
I am running for Town Council because I beleive in building a town that is welcoming, prosperous, and attractive. I want to ensure that our residents’ voices are heard in all towns decisions and that we plan effectively for our community’s growth for years to come!
